*Jimm Revelle Fund - Direct Donations

Donations for Jimm and his family are being collected through, and handled by The Community Foundation of Carroll County. This is an umbrella endowment that has enabled us to create the Jimm Revelle Fund.. and to offer concerned friends the ability to make tax deductible contributions. In return, the JR Fund's size permitting, CFCC will assist in paying Jimm's medical bills and other expenses that insurance does not cover.. including mortgage payments and home utility expenses. Each contribution will be answered with a 'thank-you' and a receipt for tax purposes.

Jimm's Dining Day at Applebee's

Applebee's Dining for Jimm Day!
Applebee's Dining for Jimm Day was rewarding for all those present who we saw.. lunch and dinner groups were launched to up the ante as much as possible, and if you were able to go, we thank you very much and hope you had a pleasant time and a good meal. The results of the event will of course appear here, and on the Updates site as soon as we get them.

There is no word yet on how much was made during this event.. evidently these folks are habitually very slow in getting around to calculating and passing on donations.

The Jimm Revelle Benefit Racquetball Tournament

The First Annual Jimm Revelle Racquetball Tournament, which was held on Saturday Nov 3rd, has raised $4,532.00 for the Revelle Fund!

The JR Racquetball Tournament has its own web page. It is slated to be an annual event, and has been the recipient of several continuing financial gifts. The blog at http://jimmrball.blogspot.com will remain active throughout the year to register these increases.

The Jimm Revelle Charity Golf Tournament was a rousing success. The weather broke perfectly, as planned by John through a previous arrangement, and a good time was had by all. That is a judgment made after seeing John and Harry careening about in their cart having more fun than should be legal.. and Tracy and George in their "refreshment cart", grinning ear to ear and showing off photos of players having a ball, and a tip jar bursting at the seams!

The really good news is that the golf tournament has earned $3,114.00 for the Jimm Revelle Fund. Congratulations to all organizers, participants and contributors.. excellent job!
